“I cannot recommend Andrea Wohlhuter highly enough.  She is so professional in her approach to dog training and she obviously has a deep love of dogs and a desire to help them all lead happy, healthy, confident lives with their people.  I adopted my Dachshund, Max, from a shelter as a middle-aged dog who had clearly never been socialised as a puppy.  Andrea has patiently helped me to help Max overcome his fear of other dogs, which caused him to bark and lunge when he encountered them.  Walks with him were a bit of a nightmare.  Initially Andrea came to my home and met and assessed Max (and me!) and then she devised a training program for him which included using her two wonderful, steady, non-reactive Bull Terriers, who helped Max understand that every dog he met was not intending to attack him.  With Andrea’s help and guidance I have worked on using positive reinforcement training with Max to change his behaviour and he is already much less reactive and quite manageable on our daily walks.  Until I worked with Andrea I had not felt confident about ever being able to change Max’s behaviour and I felt that he was too anxious to really enjoy his walks with me.  She has changed both our lives for the better and I will always be grateful for that.”

“On the 9th & 10 December Andrea Wohlhuter from Cairns Dog Care and Training was invited to do a workshop for 9 trialing handlers & 6 auditors at the COCT with her gorgeous & very talented Malinois, Shelby. Where do I start. Andrea was so generous with her time for each & everyone of us. She helped all of us with our various training issues. I learnt something from everyone’s one on one session with Andrea. I love her humanity. Andrea also visited my daughter Rachel with her 8 week old pup and explained and demonstrated impulse control. Rach is going great guns with her high drive pup with Andrea’s advice & knowledge.”
